Rons
music is a unique blend of jazz and classical elements. He has played
with many great musicians, including Jaki Byard, Larry Young, Jimmy Guiffre,
Andrew Hill, Joe Diorio and Herb Ellis. In 1978, he performed in the U.S.
debut of George Russells Concerto for Two Guitars. He has recorded
on many CDs including, Songs of Alan Broadbent, a solo guitar
recording, featuring the music of the grammy award winning pianist and
Soul Eyes,a jazz guitar duo with Riner Scivally. Also an author,
his book entitled, Concepts for the Classical and Jazz Guitar,
co-written with Jimmy Wyble and published by Mel Bay, illustrates advanced
techniques for guitarists. Rons composition, Esther and Frank
and four of his arrangements and solos of jazz standards appear in three
